Swine Influenza (Flu) Information
Everyday actions people can take to stay healthy.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are also effective.
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
- If you get sick, stay home from work or school and limit your contact with others.
- If you have sudden onset of flu like symptoms, call your health care provider.
- For more information go to the CDC website: http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/
- You can also call the Swine Flu Hotline at the Ohio Department of Health at 1-866-800-1404 from 8:00am until 5:00pm. Or contact us.
