A copy of “Are You Ready? A Guide to Citizen Preparedness in English & Spanish can be downloaded free from this site to provide a step-by-step approach to disaster preparedness.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security “Ready.Gov”
This site provides information in English & Spanish on preparing families & businesses for a disaster for emergencies involving biological & chemical threats and natural disasters. Children can learn what causes disasters, play games, read stories, and become a Disaster Action Kid.
American Red Cross
This site has an extensive disaster preparedness & response information for the public, including information on preparing for and responding to terrorism and natural disasters, family disaster planning guide, helping children cope with disasters, preparedness for the elderly and special needs population, and preparedness guidelines for businesses and industry in 14 different languages.
